OHyderabad: City police on Monday caught a few youth using drugs in the SR Nagar area. Altogether 12 youths were arrested.
As per the information provided by city police a group of youth created a buzz at an apartment in the SR Nagar area. Suspecting their behavior, locals complained to the police.
Police rushed to the spot and identified the youth in an intoxicated state at a birthday party. Altogether 60 pills of drugs were seized at the spot. A few B.tech students and IT employees were among the youth arrested at the pot.
Police said that the arrested people hail from Nellore town of Andhra Pradesh. Special branch police started an investigation to locate the source of drugs and peddlers involved in it.
Hyderabad police commissioner K Srinivasa Reddy recently announced that they will make Hyderabad drugs free and initiate stringent action against the drug peddlers and consumers.
