Bandi Sanjay, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, on the 16th of July, criticised the State Government.
Mr. Sanjay said why the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) could not include the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in Aarogyasri scheme.
Giving the example of the Andhra Pradesh Government, Sanjay Kumar said the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) included the COVID-19 treatment in Aarogyasri, why the TRS could not.
The Telangana BJP President asked how the poor and the middle class people would pay big bills of the private hospitals for the treatment, despite having the Aarogyasri card.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar said it is sad that the State Government was moving ahead with the Kaleshwaram Project and the construction of the Secretariat when there are increasing number of cases. He urged the TRS Government to come forward to provide free medical care to the poor during the pandemic Novel Coronavirus situation.
Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 39,342 positive cases till the 16th of July. Of the total, 12,957 are active cases, 25,999 are recovered/discharged cases and 386 are deceased.
