Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has questioned the visit of Congress leaders to former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse.
Speaking to the media in Karimnagar on Sunday, Sanjay questioned whether Congress leaders had the authority to enter private property. He said that if government land is found on the farmhouse premises, the government should take possession of it and make the details public.
Sanjay also demanded documentary evidence for allegations of land irregularities involving the KCR family and BRS leaders. He said that if there is evidence of land grabbing, the government should make it public and take legal action.
He also raised concerns over Section 22-A properties, alleging that successive BRS and Congress governments had misused the provision, causing difficulties for the public. He said legal action could be taken if the issue was not resolved.
Sanjay’s remarks come amid a political dispute over alleged land irregularities linked to KCR’s farmhouse. The Congress leaders’ visit has added another layer to the ongoing political debate in Telangana.
