On the night of the 11th of October, Tuesday, the Banjara Hills Police seized around Rs. 2 crores of unaccounted money from four persons.
The Commissioner’s Task Force (west) team along with Banjara Hills police search a vehicle at Road No 12 and found cash in the vehicle. The search was based on a tip received by the Banjara Hills Police.
After the search, the police demanded documents of the car and the source of cash and when the people in the car failed to do so, the police seized the vehicle and the amount of Rs. 2 crores.
The Banjara Hills police booked a case as they suspected the amount to be a hawala money.
The details, in this case, are awaited and an investigation is also underway.
