Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC,) would walk with women during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, on the 19th of November, the occasion of the Indira Gandhi Jayanti.
This would be the first time the Bharat Jodo Yatra would see the participation of women only, said Mr. Jairam Ramesh, the Member of Parliament (MP) and the General Secretary In Charge of the INC.
In an official tweet posted on the 17th of November, Mr. Jairam Ramesh said, “On 19 November, Indira Gandhi Jayanti, only women will walk with Rahul Gandhi. The whole day women will walk alongside Rahul Gandhi.”
Furthermore, the Bharat Jodo Yatra on the 19th of November, would begin from Shegaon in the Buldhana district and would end at Bhendval, Jalgaon Jamod in the Buldhanan district of Maharashtra.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra, a nationwide walk by the INC is launched against the Bharatiya Janata Party regarding issues like unemployment, hike in prices of essential commodities like petrol prices and others. So far, the INC delegation led by Mr. Rahul Gandhi covered the Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The delegation entered Maharashtra on the 7th of November.
