On the 23rd of June, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appointed the In Charge for the Huzurabad by polls.
According to the sources, the Telangana unit of the BJP appointed A.P. Jithender Reddy as the In Charge for the Huzurabad by elections.
After being appointed as the Huzurabad by poll In Charge, Mr. Jithender Reddy said, “KCR has betrayed Eatala Rajender, who worked hard for the Telangana state formation. He has used him for his own growth and later betrayed him. People in support of Eatala have stood for him and said that they would always stand with him no matter what. People will teach KCR a lesson.”
In addition to Jithender Reddy, the BJP appointed Dr. A Chandrashekar and former MLA, Y. Laxminarayana was the associate in charges for the Huzurabad by elections. The BJP is likely to appoint mandal wise in charges to monitor the election campaign soon.
The decision to appoint A.P. Jithender Reddy as Huzurabad by election in charge was taken considering his extremely satisfying performance in the Dubbaka by elections.
Recently, after the resignation of Eatala Rajender, the former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Huzurabad, the Assembly constituency fell vacant.
In order to fill the vacant post, the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Telangana State Election Commission (SEC) would hold a by election in six months.
The Huzurabad by election would be a significant one due to the resignation of Eatala Rajender from the MLA post and the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.) After resigning, the former MLA joined the BJP and would re contest from the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
Both the TRS and the BJP are eying the Huzurabad Assembly constituency and putting efforts to win the by election.
The schedule of the Huzurabad by election is yet to be announced.
