Telangana Government Set To Launch Haritha Haram And Palle Pragathi Programme From July 1st

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is all set to begin Palle Pragathi, Pattana Pragathi and Haritha Haram across the State from the 1st of July till the 10th of July.

The Telangana Government launched the flagship green drive of ‘Haritha Haram,’ ‘Palle Pragathi’ (progress of villages) and ‘Pattana Pragati’ (progress of towns) programmes in Telangana. The programmes were launched with an agenda of the progress of rural areas, villages, panchayats and the cities of Telangana. In regard to this, the State Government is releasing Rs. 399 crores every month for the development of villages and Rs. 148 crore for cities.

K. Chandrashekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to conduct a preparatory meeting with the State ministers, district collectors, additional collectors and district officials of the Panchayat Raj and the Rural Development Departments. The meeting would be held on the 26th of June, in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The Telangana Chief Minister said, the three programmes should be a success with the involvement of sarpanches,general secretaries, ministers, government staff and other officials. In regard to this, the TRS Government also assured to release the necessary funds.

The State CM wanted all the villages to be fully equipped with tractors, nurseries, Palle Prakruthi Vanams, Vaikunta Hamas and other basic infrastructure for the development. He emphasized the need to bring about more reforms in the municipal administration system and to ensure more transparency in the progress of the urban and rural areas in the State.

In addition, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Government is also aiming to plant more trees under the Haritha Haram programme, and cover the State with 33 % trees from the current 24% trees, with the go green initiative.
