The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit in Telangana, called for a statewide protest in Telangana.

On the 3rd of January, the BJP in Telangana condemned the arrest of Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the BJP in Telangana.  After the Karimnagar Court announced 14 day remand custody for Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the BJP unit came together and announced a 14 day long protest.

According to sources, BJP national leaders, union ministers and leaders in Telangana would participate in the protests.  Addressing the media on the evening of the 3rd of January, Mr. G. Premender Reddy and Mr. Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, the General Secretaries of the BJP in Telangana said, the party cadre and leaders would sport black badges and organise protests at all the district and mandal headquarters.  The protest would continue for 14 days, until Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar would be in judicial custody. 

Notably, the Karimnagar Court, on the 3rd of January, announced 14 days judicial remand to Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana.  According to sources, Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar along with 150 other BJP cadres were detained by the Karimnagar Police, on the night of the 2nd of January.  The police registered a case under the Disaster Management Act, for violating the Wuhan virus norms, attacking police and various other sections against Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar.  On Monday, he was presented before the Karimnagar Court, which announced the remand.  In addition, the Court also denied bail to the BJP President Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
