Mr. Pilot Rohit Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS,) has been issued a notice in the Bengaluru Drug Case.

On the 19th of December, Monday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Mr. Pilot Rohit Reddy for questioning.  According to sources, the BRS MLA addressed the media and said he has been asked to appear before the ED in a case, for which he does not have any information to share.

Mr. Pilot Rohit Reddy further said he has been asked to bring documents like business, IT returns documents and bank account information of himself and his family members.

It is to be noted, besides Mr. Pilot Rohir Reddy, Tollywood and Bollywood actress Ms. Rakul Preet Singh has also been asked to appear before the ED.

The Bengaluru Drug case has been under investigation since 2021.  According to sources, on the 26th of February 2021, the Bengaluru Police arrested two Nigerians, for supplying drugs to film fraternity and celebrities.  Many celebrities, actors and politicians were named in the list of those who had been in connection with the accused Nigerians, in regard to the drug case, as they were at the party, where the police seized drugs worth Rs. 4 crores.

In this matter only, Mr. Pilot Rohit Reddy and Ms. Rakul Preet Singh have been issued notices, dated the 18th of December and were asked to appear before the ED on the 19th of December.
