There are divided opinions about the Hyderabad Police shooting the 4 culprits in the Disha rape and murder case in an encounter.
While one section of the citizens were proud of the Hyderabad Police for punishing the four accused, another section believe the extrajudicial killing was inappropriate.
The Hyderabad Police, on the 6th of December, shot all the four accused, identified as Mohammed Pasha, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu. The Police took all the four culprits to National Highway 44, Hyderabad, for recreating the crime scene as a part of the investigation, but when the culprits tried to escape, the Police shot them.
V.C. Sajjanar, the Commissioner of Hyderabad, shot all the culprits.

I’m no fan of the judiciary, particularly the inept lower judiciary. But you cannot celebrate extra-judicial murder.

This is wrong and deeply disturbing. Their guilt was yet to be established. They should have been given the strictest punishment under law if found guilty but this is just shocking. https://t.co/hl8aFchyu5

This isn’t justice. This is a cover up of our system’s utter failure in fighting against violence against women and other oppressed genders. #HyderabadMurder

Perhaps she would have preferred if the accused would have managed to escape? That would have been JUSTICE? #Encounter #hyderabadpolice #JusticeForDisha https://t.co/CEaD6KtlfW

An easy murder for a rape and murder is a fair punishment. Gone are the days when an eye for eye was believed to make the world blind, we are living in the times where we should aim for two eyes for an eye cuz rapists don’t deserve the see.#Encounter #JusticeForDisha https://t.co/BwCKm7i07x
