The Central Government, on the 25th of April, sent an Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs) to Hyderabad to overview the pandemic situation due to the Novel Coronavirus.

The Central team, which arrived in Hyderabad inspected the medical services at Gachibowli hospitals and inquired about all the details from the health staff.

The IMCTs would be in the city for the next three days and collect the ground level details regarding the Coronavirus infection.

Later in the evening, the IMCT is expected to meet Somesh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Telangana.

After the visit, the team would submit a brief report of the situation to the Government of India (GoI) about the pandemic situation.  The complete report would include measures taken during the lockdown, medical facilities for the patients, red zone areas, police deployment, supply of commodities, social distancing and other guidelines of the lockdown.

As per the schedule, the IMCT members would visit the Director General of Police Mahender Reddy’s office on the 26th of April and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Control room on the 27th of April.

On the 24th of April, the Central Government sent six IMCT teams to Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and West Bengal for reviewing the conditions in the respective states due to COVID-19.
