But despite prior promises, KCR received a lot of flak from many organizations and people including political parties. The CM was fulfilling the promises he made to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam and gifted gold worth Rs. 5 crores. The CM on February 24, visited the Lord Veerabhadraswamy temple at Kuravi of Mahabubabad and donated a golden mustache. This coincided with the Maha Shivaratri celebrations. The ‘Kora meesam’ donated to the lord was 20.28 gm of gold and cost the government Rs. 62,908.

The mustache offered to Lord Veerabhadra Swamy.

Speaking to the press after this at the TRS MLA, D.S. Reddy Naik constituency the CM called those criticizing him for keeping promises as ‘Sannasulu’ (Useless people.) He said, “Those who are criticizing should pause before they speak. People cannot say anything they want just because they can. It pains me that some useless persons are politicizing the vows I took. I am happy that today, on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, I managed to keep one of them by presenting a golden mustache to Lord Veerabhadraswamy.” He also added that the government will allocate Rs. 5 crore for the temple of Kuravi.

The CM also said that Rs. 1 crore will be allocated for the development of Marripeda and Dornakal mandal headquarters and added that temporary arrangements for water in Dornakal constituency from Bhakta Ramadasu Project will be made.

The Telangana State CM KCR went ahead and also criticized opposition for creating hurdles wanted and preventing the government from completing development programs.
