Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy took a long review meeting on the irrigation department on Sunday. Revanth had seriously focused on the irregularities and corrupt practices involved in construction of various irrigation projects.
Revanth Reddy enquired about the irrigation plan for the Rabi crop across the state. He asked officials to make use of every single drop of water considering the drought type conditions prevailing across the state.
Revanth directed officials to ensure that no farmers face difficulty due to poor water supply. Sources said that the irrigation minister Uttam Kumar Reddy asked officials to prepare a detailed report on sabotage of Medigadda barrage.
Sources said that CM is serious over the poor quality of Medigadda project and directed Engineer in Chiefs (ENCs) Muralidhar, Nagendar Rao and Venkateswarlu to take up a departmental enquiry on Kaleshwaram project and sabotage of Medigadda project.
