The Indian National Congress (INC) activists staged a protest in the Paleru region of Telangana, on the 29th of January, Saturday.

According to sources, the protest was in view of pending job notifications in Telangana.  Along with the Congress activists, senior leaders of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) also participated in the protest.

The leaders asked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to release job notifications in the State.  In addition, the youth Congress leaders from four mandals also tried to lay siege to the MLA’s camp office in Kusumanchi mandal.  They raised slogans against the K. Chandrashekar Rao led TRS Government.  To control the situation and protest, the Telangana Police rushed to the spot.  They arrested the protestors and shifted them to several police stations in the Telugu State.

Youth Congress Chief Secretary Mr. J. Anjani said that separate funds have been achieved for water, funds and jobs for the people in the State. However, with the family rule, everything has been stamped by the government.  He criticised the Telangana CM who failed to fulfill his promise, made during the 2018 Assembly elections campaign.

Mr. J. Anjani said, the Telangana Government neither provided a job to every household nor released the job notifications in the State.   He furthermore asked the TRS Government to fill up 1.92 lakh vacancies in the state and also provide Rs. 3,016 to unemployed youths as unemployment allowance.

Mr. J. Anjani said the Telangana Government would face a defeat in the next elections and asked the unemployed youth not to get depressed and should fight for the jobs.

As of now, the Telangana Government and CM KCR are yet to respond to the protest and the demands of the opposition.
