K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 8th of April, ordered procurement products which includes Personal Protection Equipments (PPEs.)
Telangana CM spoke to a few distributors and medical organisations to provide five lakh PPEs including one crore N-95 masks, bodysuits and goggles. Etela Rajender, the Health Minister of Telangana, assured the safety of the medical staff and doctors in the State. The Health Minister said, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ordered 3.5 lakh coronavirus testing kits and five lakh special safety eye-glasses.
The Health department also informed the existing stock of the PPEs and COVID-19 testing kits. There are 80,000 PPEs kit, one lakh N-95 masks and 20 lakh medical gloves
The order was placed in the wake of the increasing numbers of the Novel Coronavirus cases in the State. On the 9th of April, Telangana reported 490 cases, 7 deaths and 45 recoveries.
