Mr. Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi, an eminent Telugu scholar and Padma Shri awardee, passed away on the 28th of December, Wednesday, in Karimnagar, Telangana.
According to sources, Mr. Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi, 86 years old, passed away due to age related health problems at his residence.
Highlighting the life of Mr. Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi, he was born on the 10th of March, 1936, at Chegurthi Village in Karimnagar district, of United Andhra Pradesh. He started composing poetry at the age of 7. Although he had his early stage education in Urdu, he was an excellent Sanskrit scholar. Mr. Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi came into the limelight for his work, Mandakini and used the maximum numbers of Dhatus, (the tissues of the body in Ayurveda) in his poetry.
In addition, Mr. Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi introduced seesam, a Telugu poetic form and he is the first man who introduced the epistolary form in Sanskrit. In his poetic and literary career, Mr. Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi has written over 100 books in Telugu and Sanskrit. In 2020, he was honoured with the Padma Shri Award for his work in the field of literature and education.
Meanwhile, upon hearing about the demise of Mr. Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi, celebrities, poets and famous people of various artistic sections expressed grief and shared condolences.
