On the 5th of April, a senior leader and the former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Indian National Congress (INC) Mr. Komireddy Ramulu passed away.

The Metpalli MLA died due to age related sufferings in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning.  Mr. Komireddy Ramulu was 72 years old and took his last breath at a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Ramulu, who was suffering from age-related health issues, was admitted in a private hospital in Hyderabad.  He is survived by three sons.

Meanwhile, highlighting Mr. Komireddy Ramulu, he was a lawyer.  He won as the MLA from Metpalli assembly constituency in 2004.   He contested on a Janata Party ticket after the Indian National Congress denied him a ticket.  He had worked as a student union leader while doing his LLB in Osmania University. He had contested from Metpalli for the first time in 1983 but lost.

In 1998, his wife Komireddy Jyothi had won from the Metpalli seat. He contested from Korutla in 2014 and lost.

Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, expressed his condolences upon hearing the demise of Mr. Komireddy Ramulu.
