On Monday, four tenth class students have been arrested in Jamal Colony of Chaderghat, Hyderabad for physically assaulting a 13 year old boy. The four accused have been abusing the class 8th students from the last two months. The accused also made videos and threatened to show the video to everyone, if he revealed about the abuse to his parents. The school at which the child was studying upon learning about the carnal abuse suspended the child. The father of the victim approached the police in regard to this.
The police registered a complaint under the IPC Section 377 and Information Technology Act for blackmail against the four boys of ages 16-18. As the child started showing signs of depression, the parents pressured him after which he revealed about the two month long abuse. Speaking to the media, the victim’s father said, “I confronted the parents of the four boys, but they dared me to do whatever I could. So, I approached the police.” The father lodged a complaint saying that under the pretext of showing illegal videos, the four boys took the victim to their home and repeatedly abused him.
The father speaking to the media said, “Later, his abusers started intimidating the boy. They threatened him that if he did not cooperate with them, they would make the videos of the assault viral.” He added “Locals would embarrass my son by indirectly referring to the assault. As a result, my son slipped into depression.” Speaking about the suspension of his son, the distraught father said, “The final exams are just two months away. How can the school suspend my son who is the victim here? Also, the incident happened outside the school.”
The police are inspecting the charges against the accused and the victim has been sent for counseling. According to the police the four accused and the victim were of different schools and lived in the same neighborhood which gave the older kids an opportunity to abuse the boy.
