In another unfortunate incident, a 19 year old girl reportedly committed suicide at Ramanthapur.
According to sources, the girl identified as Gudivaian Anusha, a resident of Indiranagar Ramanthapur, allegedly took her life after her mother allegedly admonished her for not concentrating on studies.
The incident occurred on the evening of the 2nd of March, Thursday, and was confirmed by the police on the next day, the 3rd of March.
According to the police, Gudivaina Anusha was preparing for the NEET exam for the last two months. However, she was reportedly not showing interest in studies following which her mother reportedly admonished her.
Angry with the mother, then girl left her house on Wednesday, the 1st of March around 5.30 a.m and went missing. The family members made a complaint at the Uppal police station following which the police started efforts to trace her.
On Thursday, Anusha’s body was found in the Ramanthapur Lake. The body was taken out and later shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.
The police has registered a case and launched an investigation.
