Hyderabad – 8 Containment Zones Declared In Vanasthalipuram Area

Authority concerned with the COVID-19 situation, on the 3rd of May, formed 8 containment zones in Vanasthalipuram area of Lal Bahadur Nagar in Hyderabad.

Any kind of outdoor activities is banned in 8 colonies of Vanasthalipuram for a week after 9 individuals reported positive for the Novel Coronavirus of COVID-19 infection.

According to the concerned official supervising the situation in the area, a total of 169 families, which is near to 300 people are home quarantined after being in contact with the positive patients.

The Hyderabad police put barricades in these 8 colonies, which are also containment zones in Vanasthalipuram.   The area was immediately sanitised, shops were asked to remain shut and strict lockdown rules were imposed.

Maruthi Diwakar, the Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad, said all the COVID-19 patients have been shifted to the Gandhi Hospital for treatment.

Sudheer Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA,) of the Lal Bahadur Nagar (L.B., Nagar) reached the area and inspected the situation.

He urged the residents to cooperate and stay indoors to contain the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Telangana has a total of 1,082 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with 29 fatalities and 490 recoveries till the 4th of May.
