In another case of illegal foreigners, Hyderabad police detained 14 individuals who were living in the Country without the government’s permission.

Among the accused, five are from Sudan, four from Yemen two from Kenya, two from Somalia, and one from Tanzania. A surprise inspection in Banjara hills, Golconda, Humayunnagar, Asifnagar, Jubilee hills, Langerhouz, surrounding areas of Osmania University, and Malakpet got the 14 caught.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s Task Force sent out 15 teams to investigate their houses. Tase Force DCP B. Limba Reddy reported, After finding their visas and other travel documents, we found they were overstaying.”

Most of these individuals were in India on student visas. The owners of the house have a duty to submit the details of any foreigners residing in their house to the Foreign Regional Registration Office.

Mr. Reddy said this is mandatory under Section 7(3) and 7(4) of the Foreigners Act 1946. He also explained, They should create an account with the FRRO website and inform about the stay of foreigners in their house and furnish details online by filling C-Form module.”

Violating the Act will result in imprisonment as punishment.
