Hyderabad witnessed a rise in the cases of the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)
On the 27th of December, the Telangana Health Department confirmed 12 cases in Hyderabad, from the previously single digit cases. With this, the active cases tally in the Telugu State of Telangana has 65 positive active cases. The cases were confirmed after conducting over 300 sample tests for COVID-19.
Although the other districts of Telangana are under control in terms of COVID-19, increasing cases of COVID-19 cases in Hyderabad are raising alarm to the Health Department. The Telangana Health Department alerted people and urged them to follow the Novel Coronavirus protocols.
In addition, the Union Health Ministry issued an advisory for the rising number of Novel Coronavirus and directed the State Governments to take all the necessary precautionary measures.
