S. Suresh, a scientist at the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC,) a part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO,) was found dead at his residence in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The news broke out on the 2nd of October after the police reported the incident, which took place on the 1st of October at Annapurna Apartment in Ameerpet area of Hyderabad.

According to the police, when Suresh did not report to work on the 1st of October and was unavailable on phone, his colleagues reached out to his wife, Indira, who later rushed to Hyderabad and alerted the police.

The police went to Suresh’s residence, where they found him lying dead.  The case is suspected to be a murder as Suresh was hit hard on his head with a heavy object, due to which, he died on the spot.

The Hyderabad Police registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched an investigation.  The Police sealed the residence of Suresh and sent his body for an autopsy. As of now, they are trying to get clues from his residence.  The Police said they are scanning the CCTV footage of the apartment for clues.

Suresh lived in Hyderabad for 20 years.  His wife also worked in the City until 2005, when she was transferred to Chennai.

Suresh is survived by his wife and two children, a son and a daughter.  Suresh’s son lives in the United States (U.S.,) while his daughter lives in Delhi.
