K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 5th of November, announced the deadline for the construction of the new Secretariat in Telangana.

Mr. Rao said the construction of the new Secretariat should be completed in 12 months from now, that is 2021.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government finalised the blueprint and action plan for the new Secretariat.

The State Government constituted 6 special official working teams and recently demolished the old Secretariat.

In addition, the agency which took the construction of the secretariat also created special teams to take up works round the clock and complete the same in a time bound manner.

The State Road and Building (R&B) Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy on the 5th of November conducted a high level meeting with the department officials and the agency representatives and finalised the action plan for the execution of the works.

Mr. Prashanth would visit the site every week and review the progress in the works.

In addition all the required mechanical, electrical, architecture and field engineers would be a part of the special teams.
