Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to launch the Technology Hub’s (T-Hub) new facility on the 28th of June, Tuesday.   

The news was confirmed by Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Information and Technology Minister of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) through Twitter.  On the 27th of June, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao tweeted, “Delighted to announce that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao Garu will be inaugurating the new facility of T-Hub on June 28 giving a huge fillip to the Hyderabad innovation ecosystem.”  KTR further shared former US President Abraham Lincoln’s famous quote, “The best way to predict your future is to create it.” 

Highlighting the new facility of T-Hub, it is built up in an area covering 3.5 lakh sq ft space in Raidurg, Hitech City.  The second phase of T-Hub is expected to be India’s largest prototyping facility, at a cost of Rs.276 crores.  Furthermore, the building (new facility,) supported by the Telangana Government, would accommodate more than 1,500 startups.  As of now, T-Hub has supported 1,120 startups, garnering about Rs. 1,800 crores investment besides employing over 2,500 people in Hyderabad.  T-Hub rents out office and meeting space, and offers services such as connections with mentors and investors, to startup companies in the technology sector.

Initially, the second phase of T-Hub was scheduled to be ready by 2019 but got delayed due to various reasons including the Wuhan Virus pandemic.  However, now it is ready to launch, giving a boost to many startup companies and innovative businesses in Telangana.

Meanwhile, T-Hub is a partnership between the Government of Telangana, three academic institutes in Hyderabad (the International Institute of Information Technology, the Indian School of Business, and the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research), and several private sectors.
