The Kerala based Kitex Group is going to set up a textile manufacturing facility in Warangal.
On the 9th of July, the company issued a statement and said they would invest Rs. 3,500 crores to set up the manufacturing unit. In regard to this, the representative of the company visited Kakatiya Mega Textile Park and toured the area. It is to be noted, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government sent a special aircraft to Kochi for the Kitex delegation.
Following their visit, the Kitex delegates met with K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, regarding the establishment of the unit. During the meeting, K.T. Rama Rao informed the delegates about the investment policies of the Telangana Government and the future course of action after the establishment of the new garment manufacturing unit. After the meeting, the Kitex Group delegates said, “The Telangana Government took quick decisions on our investment proposals. We rarely see such swift decisions by state governments.”
On Friday, the company also announced the launch of the manufacturing unit in Kakatiya Mega Textile Park officially with a huge investment.
Later, K.T. Rama Rao also took to his official Twitter handle and said, “Delighted to announce the entry of KITEX group, world’s 2nd largest manufacturer of kids apparel into Telangana with an initial investment of Rs. 1,000 crore. They’ve chosen KMTP, Warangal for their factories. My gratitude to Mr Sabu M Jacob, MD of KITEX group on a quick decision.”
