Kodangal Prepares for a Major Farmers’ Gathering

Farmers are exploring new ways to improve their crops and increase their income. Modern tools, better seeds and expert advice can help them make informed choices.

To support this effort, Telangana will host a three-day Mega Rythu Mela in Kodangal from November 7 to 9.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the event at 10 am on November 7. Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao announced the programme.

The event will feature around 150 exhibition stalls involving 26 government departments and organisations. Farmers can learn about quality seeds, modern machinery, farm drones and new farming methods.

Scientists, agriculture experts and award-winning farmers will also take part in technical sessions. Organisers expect around 7,500 farmers from Vikarabad and Narayanpet districts on the first day.

The event will also discuss the impact of El Niño conditions on farming and possible steps farmers can take.

The final day is expected to draw around 50,000 farmers from 10 nearby districts. The mela will give farmers a chance to learn from experts and explore new opportunities.
