Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology (IT) Minister of Telangana, would be distributing android tablets to students of government colleges in the Rajanna Sircilla district.
The distribution of the android gadget with special software and coaching material would be for students of classes 11th and 12th, under the “Gift a Smile” initiative. The welfare initiative, launched by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) led Telangana Government is to celebrate Mr. K.T. Rama Rao’s birthday in a meaningful way, helping students of the State in growth and better education environment.
The initiative “Gift a Smile” was launched three years ago, in 2020 on the occasion of Mr. K.T. Rama Rao’s birthday. Every year, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao plans a gift for the welfare of the people of Telangana. Last year, under the initiative, the TRS Minister Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, donated 1,100 custom built two wheelers to differently abled people. In the first, launch year, the IT Minister Mr. K.T. Rama Rao donated six ambulances to several government hospitals in the Telugu State. The initiative was later joined by the TRS Member of Parliaments (MPs,) and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) who altogether donated 120 ambulances to government hospitals.
This year under the initiative, the Minister had promised to distribute android tablets to students. On the 24th of July, 2022, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao announced to distribute the android tablets. Recently, on the 18th of September, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao announced to keep his promise and begin the distribution of the tablets soon.
Mr. K.T. Rama Rao tweeted, “Happy to be keeping my promise of gifting Byju’s powered Samsung tablets to the government college students in Rajanna-Sircilla district. The tabs are ready and we will start distributing this week.” In another tweet, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said, “This year as part of Gift A Smile campaign, I will personally distribute Byju’s powered tablets with software and coaching material to Government College students in Rajanna-Sircilla district. This will support students with additional material to help them train better for competitive exams.”
Notably, the distribution of the android tablets to students of Rajanna Sircilla district would be completed in a week.
