
Hyderabad: Telangana Ministers Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar have called for collective cooperation in managing the upcoming Ganesh festivals, highlighting the importance of unity across all communities. During a preparatory meeting in Hyderabad, the ministers met with officials from various departments to discuss the necessary arrangements for the festival.
Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized the significance of Ganesh idol immersion, noting that the festival is celebrated by people of all castes and religions. He stated that the government has instructed all departments to ensure a hassle-free experience for devotees and mandapam managers. In line with environmental concerns, the government has decided to promote the use of clay idols on a large scale.
Efforts are being made to make these idols widely available, with awareness campaigns being conducted through various media channels. The minister also stressed the need for public cooperation in adhering to the Supreme Court’s orders regarding the immersion process at Hussain Sagar.
To facilitate the immersion process, the ministers announced plans to increase RTC and Metro services, ensuring that the immersion is completed efficiently.
