Nampally Station, located at the heart of Hyderabad city, witnesses hundreds of trains and thousands of commuters every day. But as the night dawns, the station becomes the home of drug addicts and drunkards. The commuters of the station started feeling insecure as the number of snatching and harassment cases have increased over time caused by these drug addicts.
Even though the Police have been intimated about these incidents, the abusers have escaped from under the nose of the police. As soon as the commuters get down at the station, the gang of addicts attacks them or follow a passenger who is alone and steal from them. The addicts apparently have started the usage of drugs with Whiteners and manage to escape or hide as soon as the police reach.
The traffic police station that was at the exit gate of the station has been recently moved away from the station, which has given a free pass to the addicts to attack the commuters. An application has been submitted to the city commissioner of police Mahendra Reddy to post police personnel at the railway station during night times.
