In the Telugu State of Telangana, an incident of the death of a newborn was reported on the 12th of March, Saturday.
According to sources, the body of a newborn girl was found in the lake in Shamirpet on the city outskirts of Hyderabad, Telangana. The Police said the newborn, aged around six months, was suspected to have been dumped by her parents.
However, more details about the girl child, her parents, and the reason behind the baby’s death are yet to be known. It is yet to be known if she was thrown into the lake alive or her body dumped after she died.
The incident is suspected to have occurred about three days ago, but the matter came to light on Saturday, the 12th of March.
The locals who noticed the body alerted the Shamirpet police, who shifted it to the hospital for autopsy.
The Police has registered a case and launched an investigation.
