On the 30th of April, the Osmania University (OU) rejected Rahul Gandhi’s request for a public meeting on the campus.
According to the OU Council, the proposal of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) seeking permission for the public meeting, has been rejected by the OU authority. Additionally, the council had also rejected the installation of CCTV cameras on the campus because of Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the OU.
It is to be noted that the decision was taken during the OU Council Executive meeting, held on the 30th of April, Saturday. Later, when Mr. V. Hanumantha Rao, the former Rajya Sabha member and senior leader of the INC visited the OU, for permission, it was rejected. However, the reason for denying public meetings at the OU campus is not revealed.
Meanwhile, the TPCC President Mr. A. Revanth Reddy is busy with the arrangements for Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Telangana.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC,) is scheduled to visit Telangana, on the 6th of May. The visit is because of the upcoming Rythu Sangharshana public meeting.
Notably, the public meeting of the TPCC on the 6th of May is said to be a huge event, organized with the participation of the National INC leaders in Telangana’s Warangal district. On the 1st of May, the TPCC President Mr. A. Revanth Reddy would visit Warangal to inspect all the arrangements of the meeting, addressed by the INC leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
