Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit poll bound states of Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, on the 8th and 9th of April.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) during the tour, PM Narendra Modi would inaugurate several development projects and would address public meetings.
Getting into the details, in Telangana, Mr. Narendra Modi would inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs. 11,300 crores. The projects include Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Tirupati, reducing travel time. In addition, the PM of India would also lay the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) at Bibinagar and launch redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station.
In Tamil Nadu, Mr. Narendra Modi would inaugurate the new integrated terminal building of Chennai airport in Chennai, the Capital of Tamil Nadu. In addition, he would also flag off Vande Bharat Express Train between Chennai-Coimbatore.
In Karnataka, PM Narendra Modi would be inaugurating ‘Commemoration of 50 years of Project Tiger’ event and also launch the International Big Cats Alliance.
The visit ahead of the 2023 state assembly elections and 2024 General elections holds important significance, to strengthen the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) hold in the south Indian states.
