On the 25th of June, the Rachakonda Cybercrime unit arrested a youngster identified as Ch. Pavan Kumar.
The 20 year old youngster, an employee at a private firm in Saroornagar was arrested for harassing a teenage girl on a social media platform.
Speaking about the case briefly, the Rachakonda Police said, Pavan Kumar knew the girl when he was in class 8th and had worked as a milk vendor. Soon they became good friends, following which he professed his love to the girl. However, the matter soon reached the victim’s father and he warned Pavan and asked to stay away from her.
The Cybercrime police said, the harassment case is a matter of old grudge and he wanted to take revenge. Bearing the grudge from a long time against her, Pavan created a fake profile on Instagram and began sending obscene videos to the victim.
As of now, Pavan Kumar is under police custody and is booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)
