Revanth Reddy Plans Special Diwali Celebration

Diwali is a special occasion for families who move into their new homes. In Telangana, the festival will hold added importance this year for families who have received houses under the Indiramma Indlu scheme.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced a special Diwali programme with beneficiaries of the housing scheme. He will visit Kodangal constituency and celebrate the festival with families who have moved into their new homes.

The Chief Minister has also asked Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and local representatives to join the celebrations in their areas. Officials have been directed to visit the homes of beneficiaries who have completed their housewarmings.

The government plans to organise celebrations in nearly 2.25 lakh homes across Telangana.

As part of the initiative, the government is also moving forward with plans for the Indiramma Kutumba Jeeva Bima scheme, which aims to provide free life insurance of ₹5 lakh to every family in the State. Sarees will also be distributed to Indiramma housing beneficiaries.

Revanth Reddy said the celebrations aim to bring the joy of Diwali closer to poor families living in their new homes.
