The Reginal Transport Authority (RTA) in Hyderabad has decided to increase the number of online registration slots in the City.
The decision was taken after the approval from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government, to provide hassle free services for those purchasing vehicles in the State. The online slots would be increased in the Ranga Reddy and Medchal Malkajgiri limits.
Recently, the people of Telangana complained that the registration of vehicles and slots appointment takes weeks, sometimes months due to a limited number of slots and technical issues. However, these issues would now be resolved soon, as the RTAs are now keeping an adequate number of slots available online on a regular basis.
In addition, the RTAs have also made some changes in the server of the official website and increased the quota to 400 to 500 slots, with the Ranga Reddy RTA offering the highest number of slots.
The slots for booking appointments for Certificate Registration (RC) and Driving Licence (DL) have been increased at the RTAs in Ibrahimpatnam, Attapur, Medchal Malkajgiri, Uppal, Kukatpally and Petbasheerabad.
In addition, the RTA has also hired an additional staff on a temporary basis for the registration process.
