On the 6th of February, 5 High Court judges are set to take oath as the Supreme Court (SC) Judges.
According to sources, Justice Pankaj Mithal, the Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court, Justice Sanjay Karol, the Chief Justice of Patna HC and PV Sanjay Kumar, the Chief Justice of Manipur, Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah, an advocate of Patna High Court and Justice Manoj Misra, an advocate of Allahabad High Court would take oath as the Supreme Court judges.
Mr. D.Y. Chandrachud, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) would administer the oath of office to the five High Court judges. The oath taking ceremony would be held at the Apex Court premises and would be attended by the CJI and other senior judges of the Top Court.
With the addition of five High Court judges, the strength of the Supreme Court judges would be 32.
