In Telangana’s Secunderabad, a massive fire broke out in a multi storey building on Thursday night, the 16th of March. The fire accident happened on the night of Thursday, claimed six lives, including four women, confirmed police.
According to the police officials, the victims were employees of a company situated in the building and hailed from Warangal, Mahabubabad, and Khammam districts. All of the deceased victims were in their 20s and died due to suffocation caused by the smoke.
Furthermore, the fire brigade rushed to the spot and rescued seven individuals, trapped in the fire caught building. The fire started on the third floor of Swapnalok Complex and quickly spread to the upper floors of the eight storey building, which houses offices.
Firefighting personnel managed to control the blaze after battling for four hours, but the rescue work was still ongoing at the time of reporting.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and investigations are underway.
