Concerned about the current situation of Manipur, amid ongoing violence, several states arranged special flights to evacuate students, studying in Manipur.
On the 8th of May, Monday, a Special flight, arranged to repatriate the Telugu students from Manipur, would soon land at the Hyderabad Airport.
The K. Chandrashekar Rao led Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government in Telangana, has made all arrangements to bring the students. Special flights have been sent to Imphal, the capital of Manipur, and steps have been taken to evacuate Telangana students to Hyderabad.
In this regard, a separate control room has been set up in Hyderabad along with Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. Ms, Shanthi Kumari, the Chief Secretary of Telangana and Mr. Vineet Joshi, the Chief Secretary of Manipur Government are taking necessary steps to safely transport Telangana students from Imphal to Hyderabad.
On the other hand, Mr. Anjani Kumar, the Director General of Police (DGP) in Telangana, is in regular contact with the Manipur State Police regarding the safety of the students.
