After the Statue of Unity’ in Gujarat, the Central Government would inaugurate the ‘Statue Of Equality’ in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The events for this historic inauguration in Telangana, started from the 2nd of February. The 216 feet tall statue of 11th century reformer and Vaishnavite saint Ramanujacharyulu would be unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the sprawling 40 acre ashram of Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, at Muchintal on Saturday.
Although the unveiling of the statue would be on the 5th of February, the events started today, the 2nd of February. The celebrations from today began with Shobha yatra, Vastu Shanti, Ruthvik Varna at 9:00 A.M.
Later, Ankuraarpana, a Vedic ritual would be held before the beginning of the Sri Lakshmi Narayana Yagam, at 5:00 P.M., at Chinna Jeeyar Swamy ashram
At least 5,000 Rhuthviks from across the country would be performing the Yagam in 1,035 homa kundams at one main and 144 other Yagashala for the well being of the universe.
Cohosted by Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, the event would have high level security, special arrangements and other facilities for the next 10 days.
Deploying security forces, sufficient vehicles parking and provision of free food for visitors have been made to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations.
As of now, approximately 12,000 volunteers, including 15 teams from the United States have arrived at the venue to support and coordinate the proceedings of the 12 day ceremony.

6:30 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. – Recitation of Ashtakshara Mahamantra japam
9:00 A.M to 12:15 noon – Daily homams
12:15 P.M., to 1 P.M., – Daily Purnahuti and Prasadam
5:00 P.M., to 5:30 P.M., – Sri Vishnu Sahasranama recitation.
5:30 P.M., to 7:30 P.M. – Message from chief guests
7:30 P.M., to 8:00 P.M. – Live show of Sri Ramanujacharya
8:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. – cultural activities
