Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cinematography, inaugurated a blood donation camp at Vidyanagar in the Musheerabad constituency, Telangana.
The blood camp was inaugurated on the occasion of the World Veterinary Day, on the 25th of April. During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Yadav said the pandemic illness has left a scarcity of blood in the State in the blood banks, hence the blood donation camp would help patients who need Thalassemia and dialysis.
The inauguration was a small event, considering the norms of the lockdown and social distancing.
Talasani Srinivas Yadav extended gratitude to those who donated their blood following the guidelines of the nation wide lockdown and following social distancing strictly.
Telangana Government is following the guidelines of lockdown strictly and extended the nation wide lockdown to the 7th of May in the State, as a precautionary measure to control the situation.
Till the 25th of April, Telangana recorded a total of 983 positive cases for the Novel Coronavirus and 25 deaths.
MLA Gopal and Livestock Development Director Lakshmareddy were also present at the event.
