The First batch of Haj pilgrims from Telangana left for the pilgrimage from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad.
The batch of 150 pilgrims left for Jeddah by a special flight of Vistara Airlines at 10:15 A.M., on the 7th of June, Wednesday. The pilgrims began their journey with enthusiasm amid chanting of ‘Talbiyah’, a special prayer invoked during the Haj, confirmed the Taj Haj Committee, Hyderabad.
Earlier, the buses carrying the pilgrims were flagged off by Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, the Telangana Home Minister and Mr. Mohammed Saleem, the State Haj Committee chairman.
As per sources, In 2023, nearly 7,000 pilgrims, including pilgrims from some districts of neighboring Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra would depart from Hyderabad.
The Haj camp, which began on the 5th of June and would continue for 18 days. Vistara Airlines would operate a total of 46 Haj flights from Hyderabad till the 22nd of June. Three Haj flights will be operated daily from the 8th of June.
