Another incident of students falling ill after consuming school/hostel food reported in Telangana.

Approximately 50 students of the Social Welfare Girls’ Gurukul School at Choppadandi mandal headquarters, Karimnagar are affected with food poisoning.  They said to have consumed a mid day meal served at the school premises.  The students suffered abdominal pain and were vomiting, following which they were rushed to hospital.

At first, students were shifted to Choppadandi Government Hospital and as beds were not available at the hospital, doctors referred them to Karimnagar Government District Hospital.  According to sources, students had cabbage and boiled egg in lunch and after initial medical tests, they were confirmed to have food poisoning.
