The Telangana Assembly Monsoon Session resumed today, the 7th of October, Thursday, after a break.
Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, answered a few questions asked by the sitting Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in the Assembly. Speaking about the rural and urban development of Telangana, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao assured the growth.
Mr. Rama Rao specifically mentioned about drinking water to LB Nagar soon. He said, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government is working to ensure drinking water to the people of Telangana, under the Mission Bhagirathi. By 2023, the State Government would be able to provide drinking water to the entire population of Telangana.
K.T. Rama Rao said, under the Mission Bhagiratha scheme, efforts would be made to supply drinking water to the remaining colonies in LB Nagar constituency soon. He said, “Reservoirs with a capacity of 47.5 MLD have been constructed in most of the colonies in LB Nagar constituency and will cost Rs 170 crore to carry out works in the remaining colonies.” He further said, “We estimate that it will cost Rs 3,700 crore to improve the entire underground drainage system in the city.”
Meanwhile, in the ongoing Telangana Monsoon Assembly session, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, tabled Indian Stamp 2021 Bill, for discussion and to pass.
The Telangana Assembly Session is going to continue till tomorrow, the 8th of October.
