Telangana Budget Session 2021-2022 To Begin From 15th March

The Telangana Government decided to conduct the State Assembly Budget session from the 15th of March.

The Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan would mark the beginning by addressing the joint session, the Assembly and the Legislative session. The address of Ms. Governor is scheduled to address the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and the Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) on the 15th and the 16th of March.

On the two days, the House would be adjourned after paying tributes to the legislators who passed away recently.

The Assembly would discuss the Governor’s address on the 17th of March 17 and the budget proposals would be presented on the 18th of March.

T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana, would present the State budget for 2021-2022.

As per sources, discussion on the budget demands would be conducted for a week and the Appropriation Bill would be passed in the Assembly.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government has prepared a list of developmental and welfare measures being implemented by them. The CM is planning to deliver a speech on irrigation, power, Dharani and the promises fulfilled by the State Government in the second term of the TRS rule.

Meanwhile, the Government assured the Novel Coronavirus guidelines being followed while making arrangements for the session.

A senior official of the Secretariat said that restrictions on movements of the legislators and media personnel in the Assembly premises would be continued.

The budget session is likely to continue for a week, but the Business Advisory Committee would meet to decide the final duration of the session.
