Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, once again skipped the meeting of Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Hyderabad, Telangana to attend the 20th Annual event of the IBS in Gachibowli.

However, hours ahead of Mr. Narendra Modi’s visit, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the President of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party left for Bengaluru, Karnataka.  In Bengaluru, KCR would meet the Janata Dal (JDS) President Mr. H.D. Deve Gowda.  The duo are expected to conduct a brief national political discussion in Bengaluru.  The tour has been planned under the recent national tour of KCTR aiming Third Federal Front of the like minded, anti Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parties against the Central Government in the  2024 national elections.

This is the second time Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao skipped a meeting of Mr. Narendra Modi in the past four months.  Earlier in February 2022, PM Narendra Modi was in Hyderabad to unveil the Statue of Equality, a giant statue of Saint Ramanujacharya.  At that time, Mr. K. Chandrashekar did not attend the event and welcomed Mr. Narendra Modi citing health issues.

Once again, amid his Bengaluru trip, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao left Hyderabad, prior to Mr. Narendra Modi’s arrival.  Furthermore, on behalf of KCR, Mr. Talasani Srinivas, the Animal Husbandry Minister of Telangana attended Mr. Modi along with the BJP dignitaries and Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana.

Reacting to Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao’s Bengaluru Tour, Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana slammed KCR.  He said, KCR’s this act is an insult to the Prime Minister of India.  Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar further added that KCR is afraid of Mr. Narendra Modi and could not face him, therefore skipping meetings.
