The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government is all set to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 General Elections.

During a public meeting on the 11th of February, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, announced that he would focus on national politics now. He said he would have a single-point agenda, “Modi Hatao”.

At the Jangaon public meeting, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao said, “Beware, Modi, the tiger is now roaring. We know how to teach a lesson to BJP and push you out of power. (The) TRS is a party that had fought a 14-year long battle to achieve a separate state notwithstanding all kinds of hurdles. We can go to any extent to win the battle for Delhi as well.”

It is expected that the KCR-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi would be joining hands with anti-BJP parties for the 2024 General elections, as he did not mention going against any other party, but the BJP.

Justifying his opinion of being anti-BJP, KCR said, the Central Government led by Mr. Narendra Modi never worked for the development of the Telugu State. In the last eight years, Telangana never clashed with the Centre, but the Centre also never extended support in terms of development. Whatever development had taken place it was with internal resources.

KCR further criticized the BJP Government and said, instead of helping, it instead harassed people. On one hand, the BJP Government hiked the prices of diesel, petrol, gas and made the life of the common man difficult. On the other hand, they refused to buy paddy.

He now wants us to fix meters to agricultural borewells or forego subsidies. He said the TRS Government would not implement the reforms.

He ended his speech by saying, “Modi do anything you like.”

Besides, the 2024 national elections, Telangana Government is also gearing up for the 2023 State Assembly elections.
