Telangana Education Department Issues Warning To Schools, Asks To Follow Guidelines

On the 1st of February, the Telangana Education Department issued a warning to schools and educational institutes in the State.

The notice was issued to the institutions which are running regular classes other than the permitted ones.

The State Government led by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) allowed resumption of classes for standard 9th and above and degree colleges. In addition, as per the guidelines issued by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, the students attending the classes are supposed to take permission from their parents as their consent is mandatory.

If any educational institution violates any of the issued guidelines, the Education Department would take disciplinary action against those. The department said the recognition of such schools will be cancelled.

The department of education officials said there are many complaints from the Old City, especially, from thickly populated areas of Bahadurpura, Charminar and Saeedabad Mandals that private schools are conducting classes without permission.

Acting upon those complaints, the Education department officials issued instructions to all district education officers (DEOs) and mandal education officers (MEOs.) They asked them to submit a complete report of all the schools running in their areas to the district education officer and the district committee.

They are also instructed to prepare a list of schools that are failing to follow the guidelines.

The schools and educational institutions started resuming classes amid the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection from the 1st of February.

However, classes below 9th are still conducting online classes.
