The Telangana Government, on the 9th of October decided to conduct a two day Assembly Session.
The two days session, scheduled on the 13th and and 14th of October would discuss the amendments to be made in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections and Municipal Act.
Recently, the Election Commission of Telangana, hinted for the GHMC Election to be held in November or December.
The Election Commission of India is likely to announce the GHMC election schedule in October end.
This year, due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, the elections would be held with a paper ballot.
The Telangana High Court suggested a few changes in the Municipal Corporation act, and the State Cabinet and Members of the Legislative Assembly would discuss the same.
An official announcement and a final decision on the conduct of the Assembly session was taken on the 9th of October.
Ahead of the Assembly Session, the Telangana Cabinet meeting has been scheduled on the 10th of October. The Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would chair the Cabinet meeting, scheduled at Pragati Bhavan at 5:00 P.M.
The CM would discuss the amendments to the bills and approve it in the meeting. It is learned that the CM would also discuss the procurement of paddy and regulated farming in Yasangi.
