The Telangana Government on the 10th of June, issued a Government Order (GO) and declared all the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) students passed.
The GO came after the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government decided to cancel SSC or 10th class examinations for year 2020 in the wake of the pandemic crisis, the Novel Coronavirus.
As per the issued orders, “The Government reviewed the extraordinary conditions of Covid-19 pandemic prevailing in the State and status of conduct of examinations for Xth Class Students in other States, it is hereby decided to declare the results as Pass for all the students of Class – X (SSC/OSSC/VOCATIONAL) studying in Government/ Zilla Parishad/ Aided/ Private Unaided and all Schools under various managements appearing SSC examinations during the Academic Year, 2019-20, as an one time measure, duly considering their performance in internal assessments for 20% (Four Formative Assessment) in terms of G.O.Ms.No.17, School Education (P.E.Prog.II) Department, dt.14.5.2014 as amended from time to time, and decided to scaling of 20% of internal assessment marks to 100% Marks.”
The marks would be updated as per the internal assessment by the respective schools in the State.
The Commissioner of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad and Director of Government Examinations, Telangana has been directed to take necessary action in the matter.
As many as 5 lakh students are registered for the SSC examinations in Telangana.
Previously, the exams were scheduled during the months of March and April, but due to the pandemic crisis and the nationwide lockdown, the State Education department postponed the exams.
The marks of the students would be updated on the official site of the Director of Government Examination Website .
